Septhi: Diviners, what are they? And how do they Work?

The Septhi make use of a very special case of inidividuals within their society known as 'Diviners'. Their purposes and uses can range from Warfare, to Communication, Healing. The variety is immense, but what is a Diviner exactly?

Before one can try to understand what a Diviner is, one must first understand the Septhi Brain. The Septhi as a species is highly Psionicly gifted, every individual has a Subconscious Psionic potential and presence that can be drawn upon in very subtle ways. However some Septhi are born with an even stronger Subconscious control over their Psioic Potential, being found out early in their life as they use their abilities, these inidividuasl are proclaiemd by the Septhi as "Blessed By the Gods" and are thus early put on the path to a religious education in the direction of one of the many 'Gods' the Septhi worship, this worship will subconsciously condition their psionic powers to be in line with said 'God'

An example, a Diviner who worshipers the God of Fire and Flame, will be able to spontaniously make flames, and even cause the very air around them at their whim to go ablaze, throwing fireballs or directing streams of flame. As their long tutoring of worship and belief in said god has subconsciously shaped their brain to translate their Psionic Powers as being a way for said Gods powers to manifest through them.

But how exactly must this work one might ask? The Subconscious Psionic potential of the Septhi pull on strings in other Dimensions beyond the Material one they physically lift in, these strings can be pulled to such an intense extend by the gifted ones that are 'Diviners' it will impact the material one in a reflection of their powers, however the more severe this pull and power is, the more it strains the Septhies mind.

An example of this could be a Septhi's Arm gets blown off, with sufficient concentration and training a Diviner tutored in the Goddess of Healing will be able to MAKE a new Arm grow on the wounded Septhi to replace the old one with no complications for said Septhi, however this is a very hard thing to do as the psionic pull goes all the way down to microscopic cells to force them to make a new arm identical to the old that is compatible to the Septhi in question, thus heavily straining the mind of the Diviner and could in the worst case cause them to blackout and enter a short Coma.

The Septhi dont understand their powers directly, but it has always been with them since their Tribal Ages of Stone and Bronze, and is thus ingrained in their Society, they have always and still utterly believe it to be their Gods that grant them this 'magic' and dont see it as a scientific thing, believing their Psionic Potential to merely confirm that they have Souls, in touch with their Gods.

As i have gone more into the psychic aspect of the Septhi it might be time to explain more of how they perceive one of the countless dimensions beyond the material one, the one they use to subconsciusly alter reality with their 'worship'

The Septhi's psychic energy is drawn from a Dimension that can best be described as a vaste Sea of pure Emotion and Thought, every thought and emotion that any creature that thinks end up as bubbles in this endless ocean of energy. Individually these bubbles have no impact on this ocean, but the more bubbles perceive the thing the same way will culminate into larger bubbles, ending to a point that these bubbles become visible and very noticeable in this ocean.

Once such a bubble becomes large enough it will impact the sea as the currents of this energetic ocean swirls around it and makes room for it, it might even create waves dependant on is sheer size. These bubbles becomming these large sizes have the capability to impact the Material dimension in a variety of ways dependant on what those that contribute to this 'bubble' of psychich energy believe, thus in essence creating what can best be described as 'magic' with some of the abilities this can create.
