Galactic Power Scale Guidelines
*Note: This guideline is outdated, please disregard it until such a point as it has been appropriately rewritten.*
Here is a guideline for ranking your Empire or Civilization on a unified power scale, for Heavy and medium roleplays.
It is a breakdown of Influence and control for Stellar Civilizations.
1 - Minor Local Group: This civilization has influence or control to a small degree of it's surrounding stellar neighborhood.
2 - Major Local Group: This civilization has influence or control to a large degree of it's surrounding stellar neighborhood.
3 - Minor Regional: This civilization has influence or control to a small degree of it's region of the galaxy.
4 - Major Regional: This civilization has influence or control to a large degree of it's region of the galaxy.
5 - Dominant Regional: This civilization has complete influence or complete control of it's region of the galaxy.
6 - Galactic Powerhouse: This civilization has influence or control over the entire galaxy. A true colossus of the interstellar Community.
This is further broken down into five categories.
Militaristic,
Economic,
Technological,
Diplomatic,
Cultural,
These categories are not word for word with the numerical system descriptions but are close.
As well each category has a number.
Example the Hurg Slave Empire has
Military: 5
Economy: 4
Technology: 3
Diplomatic: 3
Cultural: 2
They are great military power, their economy while not in complete control has strong influence, their technology is less advanced to a small degree than other large powers, the diplomatic influence they exert is not great but suits them most of the time. Culturally they have little influence outside of their borders due the scale of their empire. Their Empire score is 3.4 meaning that they are a minor regional power however they do have some important influence and control in the region.
It should be noted that this is a guideline and not rules, as well these take second precedence to topic Author's wishes. The 6th level is strongly recommended to be used sparingly for example a Galactic Empire or Heavily Dominant One, you should consult with the Topic Author before creating a 6th level Empire.
