Khendros interaction with the Cirnii

This proposal was most certainly not accepted as they would leave themselves completely exposed. The khendros sent one of their own where the ship and the alien one met halfway through.

The Khendrosi ship advances as well. Though they do not show it all weapons are ready to fire at any sign of hostility.

[Unless you have any tricks up your sleeve, shall we skip to the actual docking?]

As they open up to let the aliens in six Axtromd stand ready, holding rifles in a not too threatining way. They too are wearing space suits as the ship lacks any air and those suits are among other things equipped with magnetic boots to compensate for zero gravity. The forward left eyes of the suits are also equipped with a scope as well as a small and almost undetectable laser firing device for high precision shots. The arms and legs have small thrusters that allow them both to do High jumps on land and move in space.

Being on their side somewhat intimidated by the size of the aliens, greater than most creatures back on Khemenos the Axtromd nevertheless show no sign of fear and keep their faces completely still as they watch the aliens come.

Commander Junomd (the second to the left from the perspective of the Cirnii) made an attempt to transmit via radio to the aliens, saying hello in Khendrosi. He did not expect them to understand but he wanted to know that they could hear him.

Now feeling a bit awkward about what to do with the aliens despite the fact that this moment was something that he had always looked forward to Junomd decided that the best course of action was to try and create a form of Communication. He began using sign languages while repeating everything in Khendrosi. First he pointed at himself while saying that he was Commander Junomd and then at his crew sating that they were axtromd and finally around him saying that they were inside a spaceship.

The Axtromd looked curiosly at the machine and wondered what it was for, waiting for the aliens to show them.

The Axtromd quickly grasp the meaning of the device and start to rapidly increase their understanding of the Alien language as they use the machine.

Now that they could communicate Junomd thought that it was high time to present himself.

"I am Commander Junomd of the first Exploration and Interaction with the Unenlightened Division. I serve the Khendros."

Adelmar's gaze locks firmly onto Commander Junomd, head tilting slightly. "I am Sergeant Adelmar, friend. He carefully does not reveal his direct allegiance, deftly switching the topic. "What brings you to our Blessed Imperium? Our hospitality has been lessened of late due to recent events, but if you come in peace, peace shall be offered in return."

Junomd looked rather amused at the question, presuming that one could read his body language.

"Well as I said I belong to the EIUD, as such it is my job to find new worlds, as well as aliens such as yourself. But why would your hospitality have lessened?"

"So you are explorers, then," Adelmar says, ignoring the later half of what Junomd said. "What other worlds have you found? I've always wanted to take a tour around the stars myself, but duty calls."

"Oh, it is not nearly as interesting as one would think. Most worlds in the galaxy are just dead rocks with nothing of interest."

He suspected that there might be an angle with the questions as well as lack of answers.

"It is certainly nice to something different for a change but you do not seem to have agreed, judging by the alarmed reaction of our arrival."

He didn't actually know exactly how alarmed they were but took the lack of answers regarding the reception as "a lot".

'Clever creature, this Junomd,' Adelmar thought to himself. "Too short and too few are the years of peace and plenty. In this manner, it was too much to hope for, that we had finally left an era of conflict and strife behind us. Alas, I ramble too much, and I know what you wish to hear. We've met others in the void. Some seek friendship and barter. Others seek subjects and tools to be used." 'Trust not deceptive words, whose worth is meaningless.'

"What do you truly want, Junomd, Servant of Khendros, Commander of the first Exploration and Interaction of the Unenlightened Division? What do you seek in these troubled times, so far from home?" As he says this, he slowly stands to his full height, almost towering over the Axtromd, giving the impression of an adjudicator about to render a final judgment.

Junomd noted rather cooly the intimidation tactic and was determined not to be affected by it. He also made a mental note about the described aliens. As for the question he pondered a bit but decided that there was no point in beating around the bush.

"What all Khendros want: to spread our enlightment, to create an utopia governed by the four core principles of Order, Profress, Prosperity and Efficiency. To create the ultimate government and make the whole universe share it. More to the point we would wish for you to accept our enlightment. You would contribute to the society as best as you can and in return we would offer you the benefits, the technology and the military protection."

"A noble goal, Commander Junomd." He settles back into his previous position, subtly distancing himself from the Khendros as he does so. "And I have no doubt that should my people decide that your Enlightenment is unnecessary, you would do your best to persuade us, would you not?" If the soundboard could register sarcasm, it would be reaching critical mass right about now. As is, it comes across as no different from what Adelmar has previously said.

Wary of any traps he tried to be as careful with his words as possible.

"Why if you do not wish to accept Enlightment (although, why would you not?) we would of course be very sorry and would of course want you to change your minds, nevertheless it is your decision to take."

Junomd sees almost immediately that this was one of the better responses he could have made, as even through the differences in physiology, Adelmar seems to relax a bit. "I am relieved to hear this, friend Junomd. I do not speak for for the Emperor, but although such an offer is unlikely to be accepted, friendship between our peoples would still be appreciated. Peace is all we desire."

Glad that he had not made a political blunder he answered:

"Yes, Peace and friendship is good and in time you may realise the benefits of enlightment. The offer is open."

"Can you tell us more about your scripture and doctrine? I would know more about this Enlightenment you speak of." Adelmar doesn't really care personally, but the information will be useful.
