The Carraxian Conclave: Official Embassy Established

The Great Old Ones, unlike your "gods" are real beings, ageless and incredibly powerful, they have existed long before your entire species and live in multiple dimensions. They still communicate with tha Star-Gazers of R'Lyeh, their gateway to our galaxy, mayby even our entire universe. Calling them gods is doing them a disservice, dismissing them because of this, even worse. They are as different to your gods as those are to you. The worship of them is not a religion any more than the obedience towards a mortal leader is.

"You do make a compelling argument, and are technically correct by our definition of religion. If you can provide proof that these old ones exist and are in fact still alive, then you will be allowed to teach the Cirnii people about them. However, any incitement to violence, protest, or general misconduct by your teachers will be a violation of our mandates against organized religion. Is this acceptable?"

Very well then, however they only only visit R'lyeh with any resemblance of regularity and even then only sporadically (and who can blame them, because what is time to the immortal?). You may send people to R'lyeh to try and communicate with them if you will, but it is often found that contact with the Great Old Ones, or indeed the mere presence of the capital, can be straining on the minds of many creatures, so if you do come you do so at your own peril. Far safer of course is to go through the Star-Gazers who grace you, a great honour in and of itself. If you accept we can present to you relics from other worlds as a substitution of the absolute proof of their presence.

I offer you information on the Conclave and the Cirnii people in exchange for more information on your own. Is this deal acceptable to you?"

Information Transfer

It is, although some information will of course be classified.

"Any information you are willing to share will determine whether or not the Conclave accepts or rejects your offer of protection. The Cirnii are not an unreasonable people, and if it can be shown that service is the best choice, then the Conclave will choose it."

First you will gain access to the technology passed to us from the Great Old Ones, such as psionics or reality warping artifacts, we will also grant you protection both from expansiionist empires and the horrors from beyond your imagination. You will also be taught the secrets the Great Old Ones and may enter their sanctum in R'lyeh. In exchange you will work for the glory of R'lyeh and pay homage to the Great Old Ones and the star-gazers who speak for them.

"I will inform the Conclave of this offer. A reply should be sent in approximately one day."

"The Conclave has decided that, while the Great Realm of R'yleh's offer is most generous, we cannot at this time accept subservience to a power that we do not yet know enough about."

Predictable, will you at least accept star-gazers of the Great Old Ones to walk among you?

[A small fleet of corvette's enter the system]
Transmission from the leading corvett:
We hail you and request Diplomacy with your government.

"This is the Space Station Prime Directive. We have plotted a course for you to dock at the station. Sending information now."

A section of the station lights up, and a large compartment opens for you to enter.

[The leading corvette flanked by the two others enter the designated zone]

What your ships enter is essentially a large, cavernous hangar. After the entrance closes behind you, the hangar repressurizes. However, temperatures are still low at a comfortable (for the Cirnii) -45 degrees Centigrade, so you'll probably need environmental suits. The inside of the hangar is blue-lit, and there is one other corvette in the hangar with you.

"Exit your craft and identify yourselves. Representatives will be sent to meet with you shortly."

[Five figures in environment suits walk out of the lead corvette with one mumblig something about the temperature being an assassination attempt. The lead figure announces]
I am Hendok lead professor of the Eta Xeno Diplomacy Department and Terkan Diplomat to the Carraxian Conclave I am flanked by four armed bodyguards.

A group of 7 Cirnii, none standing taller than 5'2'', come to greet your party. Several appear to be guards or soldiers of some sort, bearing cylindrical rifles and a circular device in their lower arms and wearing chitinous armored exosuits. The remaining 4 Cirnii have their heads wrapped in a plant fiber of some kind, and are wearing woven uniforms bearing the same sigil that was seen on the Station's exterior.

One of the unarmed ones steps forward.

"I am Cayderix, administrator of this station. I represent the Carraxian Conclave. What have you come to discuss?"

Cayderix seems somewhat intimidated by your height, but he's been seeing a lot of tall aliens recently.
